What Supermail is
Supermail is the email infrastructure layer powering Superfolio. It is not a consumer email service or standalone product. Supermail processes inbound email to application alias addresses for the sole purpose of updating job application records inside Superfolio.
What data Supermail processes
When a recruiter or hiring platform sends an email to a Supermail alias, Supermail processes: the sender's email address and domain, the email subject line, the timestamp of receipt, and inferred signal classification (e.g. interview request, rejection). Raw email body text is not stored persistently.
How data is used
Processed data is used exclusively to update the corresponding job application record inside Superfolio. No data is used for advertising, third-party analytics, model training, or any purpose outside of powering the features you have signed up for.
Data sharing
Supermail does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Email metadata processed through Supermail aliases is not accessible to other users or external systems. Data may be shared with infrastructure providers (hosting, database) operating under appropriate data processing agreements.
Data retention
Email metadata associated with a job application is retained for as long as your Superfolio account is active. You can delete individual application records or your entire account at any time. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted and logged. For a detailed description of our security practices, see the Security page.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time through your Superfolio account settings. For requests that cannot be completed in-product, contact us directly.
